They are more effective than plain PDO or PDO Cog threads.

In particular, Aptos Body Threads are manufactured in Germany. They are absorbable threads consisting of polylactic acid and polypropylene.

They are inserted in body areas in need of firming, after administering a local anaesthetic.

Depending on the area and the extent of the problem, 10 to 20 threads are inserted through one or two points of entry.

The effect is immediate and improves with time, thanks to the capacity of these sutures to stimulate collagen production within three months.

A few days after the application of Aptos Body Threads, you may notice:

• Bruises (ecchymoses)
• Mild pain
• Small creases in the skin that will subside

 

PDO Threads

PDO threads are a minimally invasive firming method against unwanted sagging.

The threads are completely absorbable surgical sutures made of polydioxanone and are inserted under the skin using a local anaesthetic through a thin needle.

Using PDO threads we create a supportive matrix underneath the skin which, along with the microtrauma caused by their insertion, triggers the natural mechanism of collagen and elastine regeneration, and tightening.

PDO threads can also be combined with PDO Cog lift threads. This method does not leave any traces and is non-surgical.

There may be temporarily mild pain and bruising that will subside in a few days.
