The dermatologist

My name is Argyri (Margie) Kapellari.

I am a Dermatologist – Venereologist, owner and head of two medical aesthetic clinics in Athens.

I graduated from the School of Medicine, University of Patras, among the top of my class. In the context of my specialty, I was trained for 1 year in pathology at the General Oncology Hospital ‘Agioi Anargyroi’ and then worked under Professor Mr. Demosthenis Skarlos as an assistant pathologist for 3 years at the Oncology Department of private hospitals.

I completed the specialty of Dermatology – Venereology at the specialized “Andreas Sygros” hospital. I went on at the same hospital as a scientific collaborator for almost 13 years, working mainly on alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia and trichogram, as well as on all hair disorders.

I completed 3-year postgraduate studies at the French National College of Aesthetic Medicine in Paris and I received honours for my thesis. It concerned the preparation of patients before peeling, so as to achieve a safe and uniform result. Our training was done in major private clinics in Paris, as well as in dermatological hospitals like St Louis Hospital.

Since 2000 I am a member of the French Aesthetic Medicine Society. I am also a member of the Hellenic Society of Dermatology and Venereology (EDSA), the Hellenic Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), the European Society for Cosmetic & Aesthetic Dermatology (ESCAD) and the International Society of Lipolysis Therapy (Network – Globalhealth). Since 1998, I have participated in hundreds of international and domestic workshops, lectures and conferences of aesthetic and classic dermatology, such as an Anatomy Masterclass of the Royal College of Surgeons in London, the IMCAS Paris (International Master Course on Aging Science), the AMWC Monaco (Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress), the FACE London (Facial Aesthetic Conference and Exhibition), the Cosmoderm Athens (World Congress of Cosmetic Dermatology), the World Congress of Dermoscopy, EADV Spring Session, Dermatology Meetings of the State Clinic of Dermatology – Venereology, “Andreas Sygros” Hospital and workshops of the Hellenic Society for Dermatologic Surgery. The ultimate goal is to acquire global and specialized knowledge, so that I can offer my patients the highest and most modern aesthetic dermatology and medical services.

I want to re-create happy faces whether they belong to a child with severe acne, to a young mum struggling to regain her form or to a working woman who does not neglect her feminine side between the various roles of everyday life, or even contributing as a volunteer dermatologist at the barren islands with the “Aegean Team”.

I collaborate with many international and well-known companies, such as Allergan, teoxane, mertz, Sinclair, as an expert medical consultant and as an instructor of other colleagues. At the same time, I participate as a speaker in international and domestic conferences of aesthetic and classic dermatology. It is the duty of the most experienced doctors to pass on knowledge to the youngest, but we too are constantly learning and perfecting our skills when we practice our vocation with love and respect.
